Inbound Form Leads
Understand how inbound (digital) form leads work with LeadEngage.
What are Inbound Form Leads?
An inbound form lead is a lead that is generated when a visitor fills out and submits a form on your website. LeadEngage captures these form submissions and associated them with a Lead. We initiate a phone call to your business phone number, wait for an employee to answer and accept the lead, and then connect the call to the visitor who submitted the form.
This process allows you to quickly respond to potential patients who express interest through your website forms, increasing the chances of converting them into actual patients.
How it Works

- When a visitor fills out a form on your website, LeadEngage captures the submission data.
- LeadEngage initiates an outbound call to your business phone number.
- Once an employee answers they are prompted to accept or reject the lead (Dial 1 to accept or 2 to reject).
- If the lead is accepted, LeadEngage reads back the visitor's information (name, phone number, etc.).
- LeadEngage then dials-in the visitor's phone number and connects the call between the employee and the visitor.
Benefits of Inbound Form Leads
- Faster response times to potential patients.
- Improved lead conversion rates.
- Better tracking and attribution of marketing efforts.
- Enhanced customer experience through immediate engagement.
- Improved answer rates, often visitors are still on your website.
Configuration
To enable inbound form leads, you need to configure your LeadEngage account and website forms accordingly. This typically involves:
- Installing LeadEngage form capture Javascript tracking code on your website.
- Excluding specific forms from being tracked if necessary, for example, forms that are not relevant for lead generation.
Training Your Team
To maximize the effectiveness of inbound form leads, it's essential to train your team on how to handle these calls. Ensure they understand the importance of prompt responses and how to engage with potential patients effectively.
Generally, training is minimal since the process is similar to handling traditional inbound calls, with the added step of accepting the lead before connecting the call.
Training Tips
- Our system will always call your office with the same caller-id making it easy to recognize these inbound form leads.
- Encourage your team to answer these calls promptly and professionally.
- Provide scripts or guidelines for engaging with potential patients effectively.
- During busy times they may reject a lead by pressing 2 on the automated system.
